Product scope
SCOUT is designed for developers, researchers, laboratories, and engineering teams that need a direct path to dual-band RTK positioning. The integrated receiver reduces the need to assemble a separate GNSS board, antenna, enclosure, host cable, and mounting solution during evaluation and early-stage deployment.
Two configurations are available. Standard RTK provides a practical starting point for open-sky validation, static monitoring, and lower-dynamics workflows. RTK + DR adds a 6-axis IMU, dead-reckoning support, and a higher update rate for mobile prototypes operating in environments where GNSS reception may degrade temporarily.
Choose SCOUT for RTK evaluation, education, prototyping, and cost-sensitive projects. For the PRO platform and field-deployment-oriented machine-integration workflows, review Kalmix SCOUT PRO.
Engineering characteristics
The following characteristics describe the receiver-level integration features relevant to hardware evaluation and system design.
USB-C host connection
An integrated 3 m USB Type-C cable provides the host connection. Serial GNSS data is available without a separate receiver enclosure or external antenna cable.
BEKEN BK1662 GNSS platform
Standard RTK and RTK + DR use the BEKEN BK1662 receiver platform. The RTK + DR configuration adds a BOSCH BMI325 6-axis IMU.
Dual-band constellation tracking
A 200-channel L1/L5 engine supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS.
IP67 enclosure and mounting
The IP67-rated enclosure includes a 3M VHB adhesive mounting layer for installation on suitable surfaces during evaluation and deployment.
NMEA 0183 output
SCOUT outputs standard NMEA 0183 messages at 115,200 bps by default for supported host integration paths.
RTCM v3.x correction input
The receiver accepts RTCM v3.x correction data for RTK positioning workflows, including supported NTRIP-based paths.

Frequently asked questions
What is SCOUT designed for?
SCOUT is an integrated L1/L5 RTK GNSS receiver designed for RTK evaluation, education, research, static monitoring, precision agriculture trials, and cost-sensitive machine-positioning projects. Its G-Mouse form factor combines the receiver, antenna, IP67-rated enclosure, and USB-C host connection in one assembly.
What accuracy can SCOUT achieve?
SCOUT is designed for centimeter-level RTK positioning when supplied with a compatible RTCM v3.x correction stream. Review the Specifications page for the published accuracy limits and test conditions.
What is the difference between Standard RTK and RTK + DR?
SCOUT Standard RTK provides a 1 Hz output and does not include an IMU. SCOUT RTK + DR provides a 10 Hz output, includes a BOSCH BMI325 6-axis IMU, and supports dead reckoning for mobile prototypes operating in signal-degraded environments.
What correction data does SCOUT accept?
SCOUT accepts RTCM v3.x correction data for RTK positioning workflows. A compatible external correction source is required. Correction data can be supplied through an NTRIP workflow or another supported correction-data path.
How does SCOUT connect to a host system?
SCOUT connects to supported host systems through a USB Type-C interface with an integrated 3 m cable. The receiver outputs NMEA 0183 data at 115,200 bps by default. Review Get Started for the available evaluation paths.
How is SCOUT different from SCOUT PRO?
SCOUT and SCOUT PRO belong to the same integrated L1/L5 RTK G-Mouse receiver family but use different GNSS platforms. SCOUT is the entry-level receiver for RTK evaluation, education, and cost-sensitive prototyping. Review SCOUT PRO for the PRO platform and field-deployment-oriented machine-integration workflows.
