Platform notes

  • Windows: install the VCP package if the serial port does not appear automatically.
  • macOS: use the official WCH update page when selecting a package for the target OS version.
  • Linux: check kernel enumeration first; install a vendor package only when the built-in driver is unavailable or troubleshooting requires it.
  • Android: apps communicate with the receiver through Android USB Host access; no desktop-style VCP driver is needed. See the Android integration guide.
