KALMIX SOFTWARE · WINDOWS · FREE

Confirm your RTK fix on Windows.

TRACE is a free Windows tool to stream NTRIP corrections, monitor NMEA, and verify RTK status — with a built-in skyplot, scatter view, and logging. Built for SCOUT, works with any receiver that outputs NMEA and accepts RTCM3.

TRACE FEATURES

Core TRACE features for Windows RTK checks.

Monitor correction link, receiver status, event history, satellite visibility, and position stability from one lightweight Windows tool.

CONNECTION + STATUS

NTRIP corrections and RTK status in one view.

Open the receiver serial stream, connect to an NTRIP caster, and watch whether corrections are moving the receiver toward a fixed solution.

EVENTS

Track connection events.

See when the serial port opens, when the NTRIP caster connects, and when correction forwarding starts or stops.

KALMIX Trace skyplot and satellite signal strength

SKYPLOT

Inspect satellite visibility.

Use skyplot and constellation signal strength views to understand tracking conditions.

KALMIX Trace scatter view and CEP statistics

SCATTER VIEW

Check position stability.

Review scatter distribution, RMS, CEP50, CEP68, and CEP95 while the receiver is running.

TRACE WORKFLOW

From COM port to RTK fixed in four steps.

TRACE keeps the Windows-side RTK workflow simple: open the receiver stream, add correction details, confirm fix status, and keep a clean record of the session.

01

Connect

Select the receiver COM port.

Refresh the serial port list, choose the receiver port, and set the baud rate used by the GNSS module.

02

Correct

Add NTRIP caster details.

Enter the caster, port, mountpoint, and account fields so RTCM corrections can be forwarded to the receiver.

03

Verify

Watch the fix status change.

Use the live status panel to check fix type, satellites, HDOP, correction age, RMS, and live NMEA / RTCM rates.

04

Record

Review events and save logs.

Keep NMEA text logs, RTCM binary logs, and application events for later review or support handoff.

SESSION CHECK

Know when the setup is actually working.

After the serial and correction links are active, TRACE gives a clear Windows-side view of connection state, fix status, live data, and saved logs.

TRACE USE CASES

A test bench for practical GNSS receiver work.

TRACE is useful when you need to validate receiver output, correction delivery, RTK status, and logs before moving into deeper integration or field deployment.

Receiver comparison

Compare fix behavior, correction response, and position stability across receivers under the same NTRIP source.

VERIFY

NTRIP link validation

Check whether caster credentials, mountpoint selection, and RTCM forwarding are actually working.

BRING-UP

Bench bring-up

Verify a new receiver, board, cable, or firmware setup the moment it appears as a Windows COM port.

TRACE HARDWARE

Built for SCOUT Series, open to standard GNSS receivers.

TRACE is designed around the SCOUT Series receiver workflow, while staying useful for any Windows-connected GNSS receiver that outputs NMEA and accepts RTCM3 corrections.

TRACE COMPARISON

More focused than a terminal. Simpler than a toolchain.

TRACE brings the core Windows-side RTK checks into one free tool, so teams do not need to jump between a serial monitor, NTRIP client, plotting utility, and log folder just to confirm that a receiver setup is working.

TRACE is not intended to replace deep engineering tools. It is designed for fast receiver bring-up, RTK link checks, field validation, and clean session records.

TRACE FAQ

A few notes before you install TRACE.

TRACE is a lightweight Windows utility for RTK receiver bring-up, NTRIP correction checks, live status monitoring, and session logging.

Is TRACE free to use?

Yes. TRACE is planned as a free Windows utility. The download form helps us send the installer link and keep interested users updated when the tool improves.

Which Windows versions does TRACE support?

TRACE is intended for modern Windows desktop workflows, especially Windows 10 and Windows 11. We still recommend checking it on the target PC before using it in a formal field test.

Does TRACE only work with SCOUT Series receivers?

No. TRACE is designed around the SCOUT Series workflow, but it can also be useful with third-party GNSS receivers that expose a Windows COM port, output NMEA, and accept RTCM3 corrections.

What NTRIP information do I need?

You need the caster address, port, mountpoint, and account credentials from your correction service. TRACE can forward RTCM corrections to the receiver and send terminal GGA periodically.

What logs can TRACE save?

TRACE can save timestamped NMEA text logs, raw RTCM3 binary logs, and application event logs, so a receiver session can be reviewed later.

Is there a macOS version?

The current release is focused on Windows. A macOS version can be considered later, but the first public workflow is Windows-side receiver bring-up and RTK verification.

Is there a macOS version?

Not currently. TRACE is being presented as a Windows utility first. A macOS version can be considered later, but it is not part of the current release.

How do I get the installer?

Use the download form on this page. After submitting your email, the download link can be sent through the configured Shopify Flow email process.
